Abstract: Mesothelioma is most commonly found in the pleura, and only rarely originates in the peritoneum. We report the case of a 54-year-old male mason who was admitted to CHU Mohammed VI with progressive abdominal distension and pain over a two-month period. An abdominal CT scan showed moderate ascites, infiltration, and some mesenteric adenopathy. The diagnosis of diffuse malignant peritoneal mesothelioma was confirmed by laparoscopic biopsy of the omentum and peritoneum. The patient was started on systemic chemotherapy.
