Peer Review Process

At ISR Publisher, we maintain the integrity and quality of published research through a rigorous double-blind peer review process. This ensures that both the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review.

1. Initial Manuscript Screening

  • All submitted manuscripts are preliminarily screened by the editorial board to assess:
    • Relevance to the journal’s scope
    • Adherence to submission guidelines
    • Overall quality and originality
  • Manuscripts that do not meet basic requirements may be desk rejected without further review.

2. Assignment to Reviewers

  • Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assigned to two or more independent expert reviewers in the relevant field.
  • Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, publication record, and availability.

3. Double-Blind Review

  • ISR Publisher follows a double-blind review model:
    • Authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.
    • Reviewers do not know the identity of the authors.
  • This process ensures an unbiased evaluation based solely on the scientific merit of the work.

4. Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and significance of the research
  • Methodological soundness
  • Clarity of presentation
  • Relevance and accuracy of references
  • Ethical compliance
  • Quality of figures, tables, and data presentation

5. Review Timeline

  • The peer review process typically takes 4 to 6 weeks from the date of reviewer assignment.
  • Authors are notified promptly of any delays or reviewer unavailability.

6. Reviewer Recommendations

Based on the reviews, the editorial team makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without changes
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Revise and resubmit (major revisions needed)
  • Reject

7. Revision and Resubmission

  • If revisions are requested, authors must provide a point-by-point response to reviewers’ comments.
  • A revised version must be submitted within the specified deadline, typically 2 to 4 weeks.

8. Final Decision

  • The revised manuscript may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers or reviewed by the editor only, depending on the extent of changes.
  • The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding acceptance.

9. Post-Acceptance

  • Once accepted, the manuscript enters the proofreading and production stage.
  • Authors will receive galley proofs for final review before publication.

10. Reviewer Acknowledgment

  • Reviewers are acknowledged annually on the ISR Publisher website (with their permission) for their valuable contributions.
  • We greatly value the time and expertise of our reviewers in maintaining scholarly excellence.
