Abstract: Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of skin cancer, whereas vitiligo is a benign depigmenting disorder often regarded as protective against skin malignancies. Nevertheless, rare instances of BCC arising in vitiliginous skin have been documented. We present the case of a 74-year-old female patient with infiltrative BCC of the scalp arising within a vitiligo plaque, managed surgically at our department. This report also provides a comprehensive review of the literature to explore this uncommon association.
